Ragner Relay

We, Robb, Robbie, Tracy, Zoey, and I, just returned from Salt Lake City where we spent time with Tonie, Cynthia, Kyle,Jackson and Claire. It was as quick and very busy trip. I feel bad we did not get a family photo though. I guess we will need to arrange for a family picture when we have the RC Fisher reunion on August 13th here in Boise.

On Friday, Robbie started the Ragner Relay with his cousins. We chased him around Eden, Huntsville, and some other places over the mountain from Ogden. We were so tired but we persevered and cheered him on. We also cheered the cousins on in their part of the run. We finally gave up and attempted to get back to Ogden. The canyon, Trapper canyon, was backed up all the way down a hill that looked like the Horseshoe Bend hill. We wanted to find a faster route to go back to SLC. We tried to take a pass that was not far from Ogden but that was closed. After we had gone the same route three times, we finally stopped at the Maverick station and asked how to get to Ogden. We were directed to Ogden canyon and we made it through. We came into Ogden at 12th Avenue - - which lead directly across Ogden and to the interstate. We stopped at Tonie's house and then went to Cyn's in Springville. We visited and then went back to Tonie's for the night.

On Saturday, we had Robb's dad aka Grandpa come to Tonie's so we could have him come with us to Park City for the end of the race. Robb and Grandpa went back up to South Ogden to visit Aunt Peggy, Grandpa's sister. After Robb and Grandpa got back to SLC, we immediately left for Park City. The Ragner Relay started in Logan and wound through the mountain tops to Park City. We met Robbie at the finish line and cheered the team in as they ran across the finish line with Russell.

After the race, we all returned to Tonie's for dinner. Of course our family dinners over the campfire never occur at a reasonable dinner hour. We had Cyn and Kyle eat first so they could go home and put their babies to bed. All were very tired and thankful that their sacrament meetings did not start until 1:00 p.m. The rest of the family ate as the tin foil dinners were cooked. It tasted really good.

On Sunday morning, we all slept in. We left SLC at about 11:30ish and got home to Boise I think around 6:00 p.m. We stopped in Snowville and then gassed up in Twin Falls. Other than that we drove....We are tired and glad to be home. We had a good time with our children but we sometimes make the mistake of planning too much into one day. We do this quite often and wear ourselves out by the end of the day that we can barely drag ourselves to bed.

Robbie drove us home from Twin Falls so I was glad. I drove from SLC to Twin Falls. We all rode in the Honda Passport. It was tight but we did it. Not only did we have four adults and Zoey in the car, we had three dogs, Simon, Vinney, and Mikey. Thank heavens for tiny dogs. Oh yes, we met Sadie, Tonie's little pup. She is so cute but still a pup with puppy tendencies.

Robb and I will be going to Springville for July 3rd because Claire will be blessed on that day. Claire is such a doll and we love her. She looks a lot like Jackson but with darker hair. Jack, of course, is his usual handsome self. We had Zoey down in SLC with the other too. Talk about a Grandmother's delight. It was really fun to have all three. I love holding my granddaughters. Jack loves to be off and running doing other things. He is a sweet boy!!

We are BLESSED.
