Well, Claire decided to come early. She was born on Easter Sunday at 10:00 p.m. She was 8 lbs 2 oz. and was 21 inches long. Dark brown hair and olive skin. Just a contrast to Jackson's blond hair and blue eyes. Claire's facial features look very similar to Jackson's. What a blessing it is to have grandchildren. I spent about 10 days in Provo helping Cynthia get adjusted to two children. Thank heavens Jack is such a good boy and Claire sleeps a lot.
On May 5, 2011, my sister Ruby and her husband Joe went through the temple and were sealed for time and eternity. We are so excited to have Joe go through the temple. Robb and I gave them a gift of temple clothes minus the shoes because the shoes that were available were not the correct size for Joe. Ruby wanted to get shoes as opposed to slippers. They are set to go to the temple over and over with their own clothing and carrying bags. We were so thankful that we were able to get them the gift. Joe was so grateful he hugged me several times.
In the afternoon of May 5th, Melissa graduated with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Utah. It is such a treat to see my nieces and nephews progress. Missy wore her Navajo outfit under her robe. We got pictures so I will upload them when I get my camera recharged.
On Friday, May 6, 2011, Robb and I went to the Karl Bloch exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts at BYU. The exhibit is on loan from Denmark. We really enjoyed the paintings. I think my favorite one was a charwomen feeding birds. I wish I could get a copy of this. I will see if there are any available.
We spent some time with Cynthia that afternoon. On Saturday, we returned to Cyn's to help out some more before going to SLC to help Tonie move her box springs from the RC Willey warehouse to her apartment. It was rather tense as we tried to not lose the box springs. After we moved the box springs, we went to Thanksgiving Point in Lehi for the tulip festival. The gardens were beautiful. We had dinner at a restaurant and enjoyed the food. This treat was from Tonie and Cynthia for my mother's day treat.
I had a lot of fun and enjoyed my two weeks with Cyn and visiting the sites. I have had a wonderful time.
