Christmas 2011

Jackson got his Tonka truck with a toolbox.
 Zoey with her pink pajamas
Oh how fun and how cute
Jackson had to have a ride with Bert and Ernie after our shopping was completed.
Jack saying Hello to Ernie, I think.
Cynthia and Kyle's project to frame in our TV Screen.  That is over our fireplace.
Wow, we had a very nice Christmas this year.  Cynthia, Kyle, Jack and Claire traveled home.  They came on Thursday so I had a lot of Grandma time.  Cynthia got on her get up and go horse and decided she wanted to paint the back room.  We painted the family room and it looks really good.  We also framed a screen on the wall.

We had our fondue on Christmas eve and really had a nice peaceful dinner.  Then on Christmas morning, we got up late and got ready for church, except for me.  I was sick, coughing, and had laryngitis and could not go to church.  I stayed in bed until everyone got home.  Then we fixed breakfast and everyone had our traditional breakfast with an addition of Orange rolls, which is Kyle's family breakfast addition.  We loved the orange rolls...we readily adopt this as part of the Christmas day breakfast.

We opened presents....with all sorts of joy.  I received a Kindle touch from Rob.  I am so excited to get started on books.  Rob got a 22 rifle from me so he, Kyle, and Robbie went target shooting on Monday.  Tonie got her bookcases for her new house, Cynthia got a viking sewing machine, Robbie got a 22, Kyle got a 22 and Tracy can go on a shopping spree with all her gift cards.  I think they were all happy.

We have such good times as a family.  I love my family.  I thank the Lord for all the blessings Rob and I receive. We have received all material gifts from each other but Christ gave us an eternal gift, the opportunity to repent of our sins and the opportunity to live with Him, Heavenly Father, and our families.  I am blessed.

We are now off to January soon with new resolutions for the year to come.  New celebrations, new memories, and renewed dedication to the gospel and church we love.

wrap up

The year is closing and I have not been active in keeping my blog up to date.  We have had such good times with Jackson's birthday, Thanksgiving, and now the Christmas season.  Zoey is walking and Jack is talking.  Claire has the biggest smile and she laughs.  Oh how we love our grandchildren.  We want to visit them every week but I know that that is not always possible.  I am so happy to know that they are mine through the sealing powers of the Temple.

We are getting ready for Christmas.  We have lots of projects to do and I wish I did not have to work... But that is how I afford my "projects," I guess so it is good that I work.  Vicious circle.  I do enjoy what I do at my job for the State but I also love doing things for my children and grandchildren.  I love cooking meals for my loving husband.  I love driving to SLC/Springville and back with my dear hubby...reminds me of when we first got married, not as spry; more aches and pain; but still devoted to each other.  I guess we are in the minority when you consider the general population of married people.

I am excited to see the children and grandchildren for Christmas.  I have to do a lot of cleaning to make sure that the bookshelf does not come down with the books, the fish tank is secure, Simon has a place of refuge and that Jack and Zoey cannot climb out the dog door.  Oh the things I have to think about.  My mind cannot remember all the things little half size people can get into with their curious minds.  It is fun though!!

well back to work... Love you all.
