January 2011

The year started off with a Bang, or a c-section. Zoey entered the world on January 12, 2011. Tracy labored all day long and then ended up have a c-section. Tracy gave us a scare after her delivery but she was taken back to surgery to get the bleeding stopped. Whew!! We are so blessed with modern medicine that can diagnose quickly and take necessary actions. Zoey and Tracy stayed in the hospital for several days and when they went home, they were both doing well. Robbie and Tracy are getting used to having a baby to take care of and to sleep at all hours that are available. We love Zoey and just love to hold her when they come over to visit. She is beautiful!

Tonie came home for MLK holiday and we attended the Rotunda celebration. It was very nice and the guest speaker was a surviver from the Holocaust.

Then at the end of January, I did something I thought I would never do. I had my eyes done with permanent makeup, tattooed eyeliner. Can you believe it! I feel like prophesy fulfilled about the last days. My eyes hurt and sting and I have some gubers on my eyelashes. They will eventually come off as the healing progresses. I think I will like it when I am not wearing ointment on my eyes. I am excited. Conne' did a really good job and understood what I wanted.

This week is my birthday and Super Bowl. My family is coming home to enjoy the weekend. Jackson will be home so I need to do some child proofing in the house. He loves to explore and walks around everywhere he can. He is such a joy.

I do not know what my kids will talk me into doing next. I am sure it will be fun. I am having a exciting life and super good adventures, some painful but interesting.
We will see what this weekend will give.
