This is Vinney. He is Robbie and Tracy's new little min pin. He is really cute and he loves to visit me and sleep on my shoulder. It reminds me of Chico, the little chihuahua that I grew up with.
For Thanksgiving, we ate dinner with family and had a really enjoyable time. We did not do the turkey so we did not get turkey to bring home. We are cooking our turkey tomorrow for dinner. We hope that Cyn and Kyle will be able to have dinner before they leave to go home to Provo. They came up on Wednesday night for the week-end. It has been fun having them here. Cyn got busy and cleaned her bedroom, packed some of her keepsakes away and we put up new curtains. We are fixing it up as a guest room with her touch of style so when she and Kyle come home, they will have a new decorated bedroom to stay in. We have to keep the doors closed tightly in between visits because Kyle is allergic to cats. We have funky mama and she just keeps on trucking through her teen years.
Robbie and Tracy have been living with us for the last two months. They are anxious to get to a new apartment and are hoping that they will be able to move by the 15th of the month. They will be able to decorate their apartment for Christmas. It will be fun. They will live close to BSU and across town from us. We will put pictures up on the blog when they bring pictures home of their apartment.
Tonie was not able to come home. She stayed in SLC and will be coming for Christmas for a couple of weeks. She is really busy with school and work. We don't hear from her much but do appreciate calls and updates as we get them from her.
As for Robb and I, we are busy working. Robb is getting prepared for the Tax Season. They are building up this month to begin the marathon beginning in January. I guess I won't see him very much for the next five months. After that, we may be able to make some limited trips to visit different places. We want to go to Great Falls, MT to see old familiar sites when Robb was growing up there.
Now that Thanksgiving is over, we are on the way to Christmas. My how times flies.

Vinny is so cute; I can hardly stand it! When Rob and Tracy came to visit me in SLC we tried to take him everywhere. We had a hard time keeping him in his "Coach" knock-off carrier purse at the restaurant. However, at the movie theater we let him out of the bag (pun totally intended). Cyn and I passed him back and forth and it was so cute to watch him watch the huge screen. I can't wait to come home for Christmas and visit him and Buster. How is Buster doing? Is he being a good big brother or is he jealous?
So for Thanksgiving I volunteered doing Meals-On-Wheels. I wanted to find a place to volunteer and found something funny about a Navajo girl taking food to hungry White People :-P Thankfully, no one offered me any blankets - probably 'cause I pass for White - and thus far I am happy to report no sign of small pox.
I slept in and went down to the Salvation Army to get the meals. They give you a couple names and then you go through a line cafeteria style to get your turkey dinner for your recipients and then you hit the road.
I visited with one woman who was 98 years old. Her grandfather knew Brigham Young which was really trippy to think about. We talked about prophecies that she had heard and seen fulfilled in her lifetime. She also talked about her family; she has one sister who is six years younger than she is who is still living. Her children have already started passing away as well. It reminded me to be nice to Cyn 'cause who knows, we might be the only two left in a hundred years lol.
After serving I hung out with a friend watching movies and eating vegetarian stuffing and mash potatoes. We had a pie and ice cream ready to be eaten but I was too stuffed, I didn't make it that far. It was super chill and I was able to use the weekend to catch up on work and homework.
I like the new "do" on your website, Sarah. So we're headed tomorrow to SLC for Dennis' appnt at the VA hospital. We were just there last weekend for Matt's grad. Go to the USU website at http://www.usu.edu/provost/commencement/ & click on the 2008 fall graduate ceremony video & scrapbook. Check out photos 16 & 47in the scrapbook. On the video at about 8:15 min, you get a quick view of Mindy, Mae, Ria,& Lissa in the stands & then there's a good shot of Matt at 8:25 minutes. Go to 36:00 minutes & you see the actual hooding. Makes me tear up each time I watch it.
